This tier list ranks every pet we track by its current Normal value on the published Grow a Garden 2 value list — the same numbers the WFL calculator uses. It is rebuilt automatically whenever the published baseline updates, so its bands follow the recorded values rather than an editor's opinion. Last data update: September 14, 2026.
This page ranks trade quotes. For crop growth, mutation help or defense, choose by the pet's documented ability. A cheap Deer can help plant growth even when a collectible pet sits far above it in trade points. A high tier does not measure demand, completed sales or usefulness for a particular garden.
How these pet tiers are calculated
S starts at one eighth of the highest current Normal quote, A at one two-hundredth, and B at one eight-hundredth; C contains lower current quotes. These are editorial grouping thresholds, not game rarity tiers. Historical retained Normal quotes are unranked. Each group shows exact current values and separate variants so the cutoff is auditable.
S Tier — highest quoted values
The highest current Normal-value band. Check the exact variant before comparing offers because premium quotes can diverge sharply. Current Normal values here: 6,200 to 30,000.
A lower quote band. Quantity can close a value gap, but the band does not measure demand or how quickly a pet trades. Current Normal values here: 45 to 55.
Dog has no current Normal quote, so it stays off the board rather than getting a guessed tier. That's deliberate — see how values are sourced and checked. Treat unranked pets as unknowns when trading, not as free.
Two pets in the same tier can still be a bad swap once variants and quantity come in — a Big or Rainbow can reprice an item completely (see how variant values actually behave). Before you accept anything, put both sides into the trade calculator and let the totals decide.
